Cancellation & Refund Policy

The short version
No long-term contracts. Cancel anytime. Monthly plans stop at the end of your current billing cycle. Annual plans get a prorated refund for unused months. No cancellation fees, no penalties, no hoops to jump through.
1. Our Philosophy
We believe you should use PayRoute because it makes your business better — not because you're locked into a contract. If PayRoute isn't the right fit, you should be able to leave without penalty. We earn your business every month.
2. No Long-Term Contracts
PayRoute does not require long-term contracts. Whether you choose a monthly or annual plan, you are free to cancel at any time. There are no early termination fees, no cancellation penalties, and no minimum commitment period beyond the current billing cycle.
3. Monthly Plan Cancellation
If you are on a monthly plan:
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
- You retain full access to PayRoute through the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in the current month, since you keep access until the period ends
Example: Your billing cycle renews on the 15th of each month. You cancel on March 3rd. You keep access through March 15th and are not charged on March 15th.
4. Annual Plan Cancellation and Refund
If you are on an annual plan:
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us
- You retain full access to PayRoute through the end of the current month
- You receive a prorated refund for the remaining full months after the current month ends
- The refund is calculated based on the monthly rate of your annual plan (annual price divided by 12), multiplied by the number of unused full months remaining
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days
Example: You paid $588 for an annual plan ($49/month). You cancel 4 months in. You keep access through the end of month 4. You receive a refund of $392 (8 remaining months × $49/month).
5. How to Cancel
You can cancel your PayRoute subscription through any of these methods:
- Self-service: Go to Settings → Subscription in your PayRoute dashboard and click "Cancel subscription"
- Email: Send a cancellation request to support@payroute.app
- Phone or chat: Contact our support team during business hours
We will confirm your cancellation by email within one business day. We will never try to pressure you into staying, add hidden steps, or make cancellation difficult.
6. Your Data After Cancellation
After your subscription ends:
- Your data is retained for 90 days in case you change your mind or need to export it
- During this 90-day window, you can request a full export of your data (customers, invoices, service history, etc.) by contacting support
- After 90 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers
- Payment transaction records may be retained longer as required by financial regulations
7. Reactivation
Changed your mind? You can reactivate your account at any time. If you reactivate within the 90-day data retention period, all your data (customers, routes, service history) will be exactly as you left it. After 90 days, you would start with a fresh account.
8. Free Trial
PayRoute offers a free trial with no credit card required. If you do not subscribe at the end of your trial, your account is simply deactivated. No charges, no surprises. Trial data is retained for 90 days following the same policy above.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this cancellation policy, we will notify existing subscribers by email at least 30 days in advance. Changes will not apply retroactively to cancellations already in progress.
